The Island Club of Vero Beach is a unique, barrier island community located on the west side of A1A about a mile south of CR 510 (Wabasso Causeway) and the Disney Beach Resort and 7 miles north of SR 60 (the Barber Bridge) with lovely, private accesses to both the ocean and the river. Immediately to the North is Captain Forster Hammock Preserve, to the east the dune Preserve, to the south Indian River Shores and to the west the Indian River Lagoon. This beautifully landscaped, modernly constructed, gated community includes 252 single-family homes. The first section finished in 2001, known as Oceanside at the Island Club, hosts 131 one-story homes surrounding a large lake. The second section finished in 2005, known as Riverside at the Island Club, hosts 121 one and two-story homes surrounding a second large lake. Seventeen of these homes reside directly along the river. While nestled together, all homes blend together architecturally and are capped with stunning tile roofs. The community’s Covenants, By-Laws and Rules & Regulations are sustained by an active homeowners’ association led by a 7 person Board of Directors and skillful committees with support from a capable property management company. Continuing effort is made to provide the best services for reasonable quarterly maintenance fees. Opportunities abound for homeowners to share in keeping The Island Club of Vero Beach a special place to live. Amenities include: Private and community property maintenance, a tennis court, a beautiful pier on the river and an accommodating entrance to the beach with beach chairs and umbrellas, two heated swimming pools, a large and small clubhouse with meeting areas. The larger clubhouse has three octagonal pods including a state-of-the art fitness room, a card room/library with restrooms and storage and a large, central, handsomely decorated social room with full kitchen and French doors that open to a covered, surrounding porch. Drop-in cocktail parties and special events provide an easy and convivial social environment. While not highly programmed, there are some regular activities such as bridge, poker, golf, aerobics, and book club. - Island Club Community By-Laws |
